LA Lakers Team

LA LAKERS
Upfront and Personal

The LA Lakers Team is typically a star studded cast of National Basketball Association (NBA) professional basketball players. Their news, schedules, standings, player profiles, statistics and the ticket information is legendary and in hot demand. What the LA Lakers does, where it is going and how its going makes big news.

The Lakers have the record for the longest consecutive winning streak (33) in US professional team sports (Including the NBA’s record). The period of time relates to 11.5.1971 to 1.7.1972.

The Los Angeles Lakers (LA Lakers team) started in 1994 and they reached their peak by hitting the championship titles during the year 2000. In 1996, the LA Lakers signed up the legendary Shaquille Rashaun O’Neal and Kobe Bryant (From the Charlotte Hornets). Besides, the hiring of Phil Jackson of the LA Laker’s coach in 1999 made it possible for the consecutive championships from 2000 – 2002.

Personally, I am a fan of the LA Lakers and it seemed that they had the best team formed in 2000 rather than the team that was formed in 1979, which had Earvin “Magic” Johnson in it. “Magic” Johnson was good, but he didn’t heighten the peak of the LA Lakers during his golden era. The golden era of the LA Lakers belonged to the year 2003 – 2004.

In my opinion, the LA Lakers team was the dream team in the year 2003 – 2004. Nearly everyone was a legend. Kobe Bryant played his best as the shooting guard that year. O’Neal played his best at the centre. I think Gary Payton is the best point guard, other than Jason Kidd from the New Jersey Nets at that time. Karl Malone pushed his limit as a power forward but he was nowhere near as what he was used to be while he was termed a legend by the basketball population. Devean George had not reached his full potential but he remained competitive as the small forward of the LA Lakers team.

Kobe Bryant worked well with O’Neal for around 3 years before they had several disagreements with Phil Jackson. It was sad actually to see one of the most ideal teams in NBA history to split up this way. Kobe was left on the team alone while O’Neal was traded off to the Miami Heats and Phil Jackson went into some sort of semi-retirement (but he came back later during 2005).

Honestly, I feel that the star player of the team should be Gary Payton. Firstly, he is a legend as the 21st highest scorer in NBA history and his steals are really incredulously quick and subtle. With a nickname, “The Glove”, it is obvious that his actions are really quick in the game of basketball. But, my favourite characteristic about Gary Payton is his steals although most of the general basketball population view that Kevin Garnett is better than Gary in this aspect.

However, the golden era of the LA Lakers was incredibly short-lived. I am not taking the all-star teams into consideration for this review. Therefore, it is really some sort of miracle if there is ever another team that works like them in the NBA. The LA Lakers team have my vote of confidence and admiration and always will.
