NBA Basketball History – Some Of its Top Players
NBA Basketball History would have something to do with the top players. When people talk about basketball, they will definitely not forget some of the legends which made basketball a game to reminisce and remember. Some of these legends include:
Michael Jordan
He is probably the best player the world has ever seen and a true legend in NBA Basketball History. With his capacity as the one of the best defenders on the court, he has led his teams to various championships. He won his first championship with the bulls and gained five Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards and three all-star MVP awards.
Anyone who knows basketball will associate his reputation with the game. Some people will remember Michael Jordan for his performance in the game while some other people will remember his appearance in the movie, “Space Jam” with the energetic Looney tunes character, Bugs Bunny. Hardly NBA Basketball History material, still but memorable !
Allen Iverson
Allen Iverson was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers after two seasons at Georgetown. Nicknamed “The Answer”, he is considered a veteran at the age of thirty-two! What really made Allen Iverson stand out from the rest of the National Basketball Association (NBA) team players was that even though he was much shorter than the average basketball player, he had a consistent score for each game he played! A true veteran in NBA Basketball History wouldn’t you agree?
Shaquille Rashaun O’Neal
Shaq is considered one of the biggest giants the NBA has ever seen. Everyone remembers Shaq for his incredulous big stature. His physique is something to stare in awe in a fierce competitive basketball game. Although he has an imposing stature, it seems that he has used his large build to an advantage in the game rather than the stereotypical view of being a clumsy oaf. Although this is debatable.
His career reached its peak while he was in the Los Angeles Lakers and he is currently in Phoenix Suns. However, even with his amazing talent, he has a weakness for free-throws. The NBA rules can seem to be flaunted.
Yao Ming
Currently the tallest man in the NBA league, Yao Ming is one of the star players in the Houston Rockets. Yao Ming was an incredible duo with Steve Francis during his earlier years. Yao Ming was born in Shanghai, China and had humble origins.
However, that didn’t stop him from pursuing his love in basketball. He is one of China most well-known celebrities and was selected to star in the Beijing Olympic commercial together with Jackie Chan. Yao Ming is also considered the richest celebrity in China for 5 years consecutively. In short, Yao Ming has did his country proud with his several achievements and we can definitely expect more from him.
So concludes a potted version of the history of the NBA through some of its more talented players.
